Sugar is a carb, which can raise triglyceride levels in the blood, when redundant intake. These fats may be deposited in arteries and narrow their lumen.
The American Heart Association recommends cut down daily sugar abuse to 6 teaspoons (100 calories of sweeteners) a day for women and 9 teaspoons (150 calories) for men.
